At Skybound Studios, we recently celebrated our first successful release, and we are already gearing up for an exciting roadmap of future projects and upcoming industry partnerships.

To help us bring these next-generation projects to life, we are looking to expand our team. Our primary target platform for our upcoming scenery pipeline is X-Plane 12, but we are building a flexible, collaborative environment where developers can thrive.

What We Are Looking For

We need passionate creators across a few different disciplines:

  • 3D Modelers & Texture Artists (Crucial!): Whether you primarily develop for X-Plane or MSFS, your modeling and texturing skills (PBR workflow) are highly valuable to us.
  • Scenery Developers / WED Users: Anyone proficient with WorldEditor (WED) to help lay down airport infrastructure, taxiways, and ground polygons.
  • Cross-Platform Minds: MSFS developers who are curious about X-Plane 12 or want to see their assets utilized in a cross-platform pipeline are highly welcomed.

How We Work

We understand that everyone has a different workflow, so we offer a hybrid approach to collaboration:

  • Team Projects: Join forces with the core team to tackle larger, high-detail airport projects.
  • Individual Work: Want to spearhead a specific regional airport or asset pack? You can take ownership of individual projects with full guidance, mentoring, and support from the rest of the studio.

Compensation & Structure

This is a revenue-share model. Percentages are fairly distributed based on your direct contribution, the project structure, and the scope of work you complete. Because we already have a release under our belt and active partnerships in the works, you’ll be joining an established pipeline rather than starting from absolute zero.

Interested in Joining the Team?

If you want to help us shape the skies, we’d love to chat! Please send an email to contact@skyboundstudios.uk with:

  1. A brief intro about yourself and your experience.
  2. A link to any previous work or a quick portfolio (if you have one).
  3. Your primary toolset (Blender, WED, Substance Painter, etc.).

We look forward to hearing from you!
